I've been designing and making jewellery all of my life. I have lived and worked across three continents, including Africa, Europe and North America, and have now settled in London.
When planning my own wedding, I sourced and designed my vintage inspired jewellery and accessories to go with my Art Deco style on the day. Soon after that, friends started asking me to design and create custom jewellery for their weddings, and it was out of this that Victoria Mary Vintage was launched in 2010.
My inspiration comes from vintage fashions and antique jewellery that is handed down from generation to generation.
I strongly believe in investing in timeless pieces of jewellery, especially for an occasion as special as your wedding day. Long after the dress and veil have been dry cleaned and packed away, you will treasure the jewellery you wore on your wedding day. If these are classic designs, they can be worn time and time again after the big day, until they are eventually handed down to the next generation as family heirlooms.
