I love this time of year – the air starts smelling crisp and clean, the occasional golden leaf falls from the trees, the autumn wardrobe comes out of storage, and the late afternoon light is incredibly beautiful.
What makes this time of year even better for me is that now is when I start to receive photos from all my brides who were married over the summer. I just love seeing these photos – especially when it’s for a bespoke order where I have spent a fair amount of time getting to know the bride and hearing all about her wedding plans. Seeing a bespoke vintage headdress in all its glory on the day is fantastic – as I’m often a bit sad once they’re posted off to their new homes.
Today’s bespoke journey is Abi’s, who contacted me early in the summer to enquire about a bespoke gold vintage side tiara and matching gold vintage pearl necklace.

Abi’s photographer Camilla, from Camilla Rosa Photography sent me through these photos of Abi on her wedding day. She looks amazing, and the photographs are beautiful

Now the summer rush is slowing down a bit, I have lots more bespoke brides to blog soon – watch this space!

If you read yesterday’s post you’ll know I am currently obsessing about grey interiors for our new house. I’m incredibly excited that Mr M and I are about to buy our first house. Not our first property, as we bought a flat together about 5 years ago, but our first house. Our first front door, which we can paint whatever colour we like (oh dear… for someone who can spend ten minutes in…

As you have probably noticed, I do loads of styled bridal shoots – I love collaborating with fellow creatives in the wedding industry, and it’s loads of fun pushing my creative boundaries to create pieces to go with a particular style, theme or colour scheme. You can see some of my previous styled shoots here ,…

The beautiful model Lucy is wearing an incredibly…

I love bridal shrugs. Jacket, bolero, shrug – a gorgeous accent piece that serves so many purposes. In winter, a soft (faux) fur jacket can keep you toasty and warm all day; in summer a delicate beaded shrug can cover bare arms in a church ceremony; and all year long, a sparkling, sequinned bolero can…
