The Luxury Wedding Show

This past Saturday I was lucky enough to get a press pass to visit the Luxury Wedding Show in the Saatchi Gallery. The venue was beautifully light-filled, and the stands were spread across galleries over three floors  , which made it very easy to lose yourself in all the loveliness… when I checked my watch I had spent four hours there! The catwalk show was also utterly fabulous, showcasing some of the leading talents in bridal wear today – Vera Wang, Vivienne Westwood (who didn’t disappoint with a stunning RED wedding dress), David Fielden and Charlotte Casadejus (one of my faves!) to name just a few.

I had a wonderful time there and met so many fantastic people that I will most certainly be blogging about in the coming weeks.

A quick round-up of some of my favourites there:

First and foremost – Illustries. These two lovely ladies create the most stunning memory books combining your wedding photography with a beautifully written report of your wedding, capturing quotes, interviews, vows and all those other words that make your wedding day so special.

Seriously – the books are just gorgeous … I desperately want one (even though I do already have a beautiful wedding album).

Next up I met the incredibly nice Alex from Candy Anthony – creator of fabulous 1950′s and 1960′s inspired tea-length wedding dresses and evening gowns. We had a great chat about the wedding industry, blogging, and general gossip and he must’ve been one of the loveliest people there!

The last mention goes out to Julia and James from Julia Boggio Photography. I have been a fan of Julia’s fun, retro (and not overtly sexy) boudoir photography for a while now and had also recently seen the engagement shoot that this photo was from, so was really excited to chat to her in person and ogle her beautiful photos!

This was the first year for the Luxury Wedding Show, and I will most certainly be back next year. It was a fantastic opportunity to chat with some of the leading experts in the wedding industry and really just a brilliant day out.
