Happy Valentine’s day lovelies! While today will probably be filled with shades of crimson and ruby (and hopefully LOTS of chocolate), I thought it would also be a good day to feature this beautiful inspiration board that I’ve been working on for a while – the palest shades of blush pink, nude and blossom come together for an ultra-feminine, gorgeously romantic alternative to the traditional Valentine’s Day wedding style.
As I mentioned in my post on Friday, I am currently putting the final touches on my 2012 collection, which features lots of pretty blush pink and pale ivory florals, set with delicate lace, tulle and a hint of sparkle. I think you’re going to love it.
In the meantime, let these beautiful images inspire you (as they do me!) …
sources (clockwise from top left): one-piece swimsuit, vintage lace cuff, blush ring, bride on bridge, blush rose bridal cap, pink roses, shoes, pink blossoms, bride and bridesmaids – Elizabeth from Bridal Musings!
sources (clockwise from top left): Dress, blossom, shoes, girl in window, fabric, makeup, vintage lace cuff, shoes, earrings, blush column dress, blush full-skirted dress
sources (clockwise from top left): bouquet, blossoms, pink roses, pink and cream bouquets, roses bouquet, peonies
Of course a blush pink wedding theme isn’t just for Valentine’s Day – can be used any time of year – add shades of pale green and sage for a delicate, floral spring wedding, lemon yellow for a bright sunshine-filled summer wedding, chocolate and burgundy for a warm autumnal wedding and pale silver and grey for a sleek, soft winter wedding.
Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day – Mr M and I are going to take it easy and stay in. We’ve got a really nice bottle of red wine and some delicious-looking steaks ready to go.

These moodboards are absolutely gorgeous ~ I am such a sucker for blush pink! (Thanks for including a photo of me and my bridesmaids, they certainly looked pretty in pink!) xx
They certainly did look pretty but not a candle to the bride! x
Gorgeous. I do love a little pink.
